Lucifer is an urban fantasy TV series based on the DC Comics character by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, and Mike Dringenberg in the comic book series The Sandman. The Story follows Lucifer Morningstar, the Devil who abandons hell and heads to Los Angels, where he runs Lux, a nightclub. The series is about how he ends up becoming a consultant for the LAPD and goes about helping solve murder mysteries. It is directed by Tom Kapinos and premiered on Fox on January 25, 2016. Fox premiered the three seasons of Lucifer. Due to low ratings, Fox canceled Lucifer. Then, Netflix picked up the series from the fourth season.
